How To Increase Your Google Adwords Quality Score
Google Adwords is an advertising option that can put your business on blast overnight. You can literally go from earning nothing to a making thousands of dollars in a matter of days. The keys to achieving these kind of numbers has everything to do with your knowledge of how to advertise with Google. Knowing what Google is looking for is not always easy with their changing algorithms. To make things easier Google has come up with a system to rate the effectiveness of your Adwords Ads.
A quality score is basically a barometer for grading you advertisement with Adwords. The higher your quality score the more love you will get with Google. Good quality scores means lesser Cost Per Click(CPC) and higher Click Thru Rates(CTR). There are a few adjustments that you may have to implement in order to increase your quality score, but trust me, it will be well worth it.
Quality Keyword Research:
The effectiveness of your ads is directly related to your keywords. I tend to emphasize keywords research in many of my post because it is absolutely imperative to get your hands on a reliable keyword tool. Well targeted keywords brings in more quality customers for your service or opportunity and increases your quality score.
The Landing Page:
A good landing page also plays an important role in raising your quality score. Many affiliate marketers, especially those with Clickbank, tend to automatically use the landing page that the merchant provides. This strategy can lower your quality score if the landing page is not related to your ad group. For example if the landing page topic is general like “tattoos” and your ad group is “horoscope tattoos”, you may make want to create a landing page that focuses on “horoscope tattoos”.
Landing Page Meta Tags:
The landing page meta tags must also be present. It important to list your best performing keywords in your meta tags and also create an “H1″ and “H2″ to explain the purpose of your landing page. These meta tags will play a big role because you don’t want your landing page content to be too long. Your main goal in the landing page is to get your customer to the merchant’s sales page.
Ad Groups:
Creating different ad groups for your adwords campaign is something that Google will absolutely love you for. It is great for your quality score if you can create very specific ad groups. Just like in the example above, you can create specific ad groups for every variety of your main keyword. The more related ad groups will receive more quality clicks due to better quality scores.
The Title:
The title of your ad should include your keywords. The title should also must create a call to action or create a problem that you promise to provide the resolution to. Make sure your title is in bold or bright colors. The use of parenthesis is also recommended to grab your prospect’s attention.
The Ad:
Your Adwords ad is the first introduction to your product, so proper optimization is also key. Your ad will need to do the same as the title of your landing page; grab your prospects attenting by creating a call to action. The only difference is that you will have a very short amount of text to achieve this goal; be creative.
Capitalization Of Your Ads:
Capitalizing every single word in your ads will make them stand out from the other ads. It is also helps to capitalize the first letter in every word or your url. The inclusion of “www” in your ad’s url can also be used to make your ad look a little more official.
These quality score techniques and landing page optimization methods when used properly can make a major difference in your advertising costs. The better your quality score, the least amount of money you will charged by Google per click and the more traffic your ads will receive. Lesser CPC in accordance with increased traffic equals more money in your pocket.
