The Death Of Article Marketing: Is Article Marketing Dead?
Article marketing is one of the only marketing techniques on the internet that is free and effective. As of late of have notice that my articles were not as much effectivesness as they used to. I went from having a 25% click thru rate to 20% percent rate. For most people there would not be a cause for alarm, but I am a serious about monitoring trends.
It seems as if the secret of the success of article marketing is out and everyone is submitting articles like crazy. Successful programs like “Bum Marketing” and now PotPie Girl’s “One Week Marketing Plan” has gotten everyone really excited about writing again. The increase of writers submitting articles has created more competition.
Article marketing is not just a writing a 300 word spam article with a link at the end, so I believe that the more competitive the market gets, the more quality writers will rise to the top. After noticing the drop in my CTR I decided to step my game up, the first thing I did was purchase PotPie Girl‘s “One Week Marketing Plan” and put it to the test.
The program gave me the opportunity to challenge my writing skills by choosing topics that I normally do not write about. It also provided me with some new insights on how to market online and steer away from some of that competition. Competition is definitely healthy, but learning how to beat the competition is the ultimate goal.
Article marketing is definitely alive and well. The key to succeeding is writing quality content about the topics that people are seeking online. Marketing to other marketers about how to make money online is like your mom trying to tell your dad that he needs to use a map. You are better off creating articles that have more substance and less hype.
I am glad to say after implementing Pot Pie Girl’s “One Week Marketing Plan”, I was able to make my first sale in the 3rd week. This is especially impressive to me because I did not follow the program to the letter. I guess my stubbornness as a somewhat experienced marketer led on my own road a little. Getting my first sale that quick with very little effort however has motivated me to follow the “One Week Marketing Plan” as written.
